What can I expect at an appointment?
When you arrive at the True Healing Center, the staff will greet you and seat you at the waiting room. We will examine you as quick as possible – average waiting time is 15 minutes.
What happens if I am a new patient?
We are a Fee-For-Service organization. We will discuss your problem and ask about your medical history. A thorough examination will then follow. We may request examinations and tests to assist and support our diagnosis.
If you have previous examinations and tests related to your current condition, please bring those along to the consultation. Also bring any copies of letters from other doctors or recent medication. It will help us to help you.
We will discuss with you the results of your examinations and we will recommend the proper treatment. Some conditions may be faced immediately by conservative or surgical treatment.
If follow-up consultation or further consultations are required, we will indicate this and the staff will let you know the date and time of your next appointment.
Do you examine children at your clinic?
NO. STATE LAW REQUIRES YOU TO BE ON THE AGE OF 21 YEARS. UNDER THAT AGE REQUIRES SUPERVISION BY AN ADULT.
What if I need anesthetic?
We can undertake only small or minor procedures in our True Healing Center. This location has NO anesthesia or drugs.
What happens if I need a prescription?
We may prescribe the next steps for your condition. Please let us know in case you have any allergy or other medical condition.
If you have already been taking drugs prescribed by your current doctor, please bring them with you for clarification or possible drug interactions and correlations with the new condition.
Insurance and Billing
Do you accept my insurance?
True Healing Center accepts no insurance as of this posting 7/11/2017.
We are a Fee-For-Service organization. The insurance industry does not reimburse for medical marijuana currently.
Do you have parking facilities?
Free parking is available in front and around the True Healing Center.
Are all patients authorized to use marijuana for medical purposes?
In order to qualify for medical marijuana use within the state of Florida, you must receive a recommendation from your doctor through qualification. The qualifications for medical marijuana are as follows:
Diagnosis of one or more of the following diseases:
Chronic nonmalignant pain*
Terminal illness (patients diagnosed with no more than 12-months to live)
You must also be at least 18 years of age and provide a valid ID as proof of residency in the state of Florida.
What credentials do the True Healing Center doctors have?
All of our doctors are trained and certified medical doctors with the education and residency necessary for providing health services under Florida law.
Can True Healing Center help me if I have never used marijuana?
Absolutely. We will be able to provide you with a possible recommendation for marijuana based on your conditions, as well as provide you with natural alternatives to your condition. Please visit our services page for more information in regards to how we can help you.
Do I need medical documentation in order to receive a marijuana recommendation?
Yes. All medical records and documentation from your primary care physician need to be presented to your True Healing Center doctor in order to receive a proper marijuana recommendation. You must also have a standing relationship with your primary care physician for no less than 3 months in order to receive a recommendation.
What do I do if I do not have a primary care physician?
We are able to recommend you to a primary care physician that will be able to diagnose you for any conditions.
Does True Healing Center also provide marijuana?
No. We can only evaluate and recommend use of marijuana. You will have to find a certified dispensary in order to purchase your medical marijuana.
What should I bring for my medical marijuana evaluation?
Make sure to bring any documentation in regards to your medical conditions, as well as a valid Florida ID.
How do I renew my certification?
Come back to the clinic before your certification is due to expire to ensure that there is no lapse in coverage.
Do I need to have an appointment?
You are not required to have an appointment, but it is preferred. We do accept walk-ins.
